Light Scattering Studies Section focuses on two broad areas of research:

(1) Structural instabilities and related phase transitions/diagrams in condensed matter as well as nanostructured materials using variety of optical techniques and computer simulations. Systems of interest range from dielectrics to semiconductors, Quantum dots & ion implanted materials

(2) Ordering, Dynamics & Phase transitions in soft condensed matter in particular nanoparticle dispersions (colloids), hydrogels, stimuli responsive gels, biocolloids, surfactants & ionic liquids
