• The activities of X-ray Scattering and Crystal Growth Section revolve around synthesis and structural study of crystals of scientific and technical interest. We also carry out structural studies on various polycrystalline and amorphous materials.  We have the facility to record the Laue diffraction at low temperature using imaging plate. We analyse the Laue pattern using orient express software. The powder X-ray diffraction data is analyzed with Rietveld refinement.  

 

 

 

 

  • We have set standard X-ray diffraction pattern for many samples through international center for diffraction data (ICDD).  These standard data are available in Joint Committee on Powder Diffraction Standard (JCPDS) files in  PCPDF-2010 version.
