1.Received the “Meritorious Officer” award - 1999 from IGCAR, DAE, Kalpakkam for his innovative design of “Read-out electronics for Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUIDs)”.
2. Awarded as “Design Challenger 1999” by M/s.MAXIM Integrated Products Ltd., (U.K), a reputed and popular world wide electronics component manufacturer.
3.“Tamil Nadu Scientist award (TANSA)”- 1999 in the field of engineering and technology by Government of Tamil Nadu.
4. “Kalpakkam Science & Technology award (KSTA)”- 2000.
5. Also awarded several times by the leading popular international electronics design journals like Electronics Designs(U.S.A), EDN Magazine(U.S.A), Electronics Engineering Magazine (U.K), Electronics World magazine (U.K), Cypress Microsystems, WA for his best innovative design in electronics for process control automations.
Many national institutions like IISc, Bangalore, IIT, Mathematical Science Institute, National Consortium, Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Bio-medical Science & Technology, Trivandrum and Universities have sought his technical expertise and advice whenever required.
Shri.Jayapandian’scontribution to the high tech R&D through design and development in both analog and digital instrumentation helped in building several new equipments. This has resulted in ensuring self-reliance in high tech areas and also saved valuable foreign exchange.
Presently, Shri.Jayapandian has been involved in the major R&D projects like MEMS sensors design and fabrication, thick film & thin film coating for sensor design, bio-medical application designs using micro and MEMS sensors with embedded design etc. He has implemented design automation for several experiments based on virtual instrument programming technique along with embedded control systems.
Shri.J.Jayapandianis an honorary faculty member in Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai.
